Croxley Rail Link

Details of the proposed Metropolitan Line extension

Watford Health Campus is committed to working with Hertfordshire County Council and London Underground Limited to help see to fruition the proposed extension to the Metropolitan Line, otherwise known as the Croxley Rail Link.

The plan is to connect the Watford branch of the Metropolitan Line to Watford Junction along the disused Croxley Green branch line, taking in Ascot Road and, crucially, the proposed Watford Health Campus, including the new hospital and Vicarage Road Stadium sites. It is proposed that there will be a new tube station within about 250m of the front door of the new hospital.

This extension to links with central London via both the Metropolitan Line and overground services on the west coast mainline, will prove to be of great benefit for the hospital's, patients, relatives and staff members as well as for supporters of both Watford Football Club and Saracens Rugby Club.
