Improving access to your hospital and facilities

The current Watford General Hospital site struggles to provide, user friendly car parking, on a site that has reached its current maximum parking provision. Similarly, the neighbouring Watford Football Club and Saracens Rugby Football Club share such issues, particularly on match days at their Vicarage Road Stadium.

Plans for the Watford Health Campus will provide a significant improvement for those who still wish or have to travel to the site by private vehicle. These improvements in parking provision run alongside additional provision for alternative means of accessing the site, such as public transport.

There is even the possibility for some of these new parking spaces to be provided in dedicated areas beneath the proposed hospital structure, providing direct access to the facilities and maximising the land use on the Campus site.
